RFE INFO
A Request for Evidence (RFE) is issued by the United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) to petitioners for employment visas, family visas, residency, and citizenship. An RFE is basically a request by the USCIS for more documentation so that they can make an informed decision regarding your application.
It is important to note that receiving an RFE does not mean that your application is going to be denied by the immigration department or that it is more likely to get rejected. RFE is like a second chance for you to review your application to make sure everything is in place.
If you have just received an RFE, the first thing you need to do is check the requested evidence which has been asked for and the deadline that has been mentioned in the document. In case the RFE requests for more than one document, then you would have to send everything together in one response packet. In case you don’t respond to the RFE before the deadline or don’t send all the documents that were requested, then the USCIS will make their decision regarding your application based on the documents that they already have, which means your application will most likely be denied.
Responding to an RFE is your only chance to get your application approved and you don’t want to miss that.
